Latest Express Entry Draws

IRCC conducts Express Entry draws approximately every two weeks. Each draw sets a minimum CRS score (cutoff) — all candidates at or above this score in the pool receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence. Below is a table of recent draws, and our CRS Cutoff Scores History page has even more historical data.

Draw Types Explained

No Program Specified (All-Program): The most common draw type. Open to all eligible Express Entry candidates regardless of their specific program. Has the highest competition and typically the highest cutoffs. French Language Proficiency: Targets candidates with strong French skills. Significantly lower cutoffs make these draws very accessible for francophones. Provincial Nominee Program (PNP): Exclusively for candidates who have received a provincial nomination. High cutoffs since all candidates already have +600 points. Category-Based Draws: Target specific occupation categories like STEM, healthcare, agriculture, or trades. Cutoffs may be lower within the target category.

What Happens After Receiving an ITA?

  1. Accept the ITA within your IRCC account within the deadline
  2. Gather documents: Police certificates, medical exams, language test results, ECA, work experience letters, bank statements (if needed), photos
  3. Submit complete PR application within 60 days of receiving ITA
  4. Wait for IRCC processing: Typically 6–12 months
  5. Receive COPR: Confirmation of Permanent Residence and land in Canada as PR

Important: 60-Day Deadline

After receiving an ITA, you have exactly 60 days to submit a complete application. If you miss this deadline, you lose the ITA and must re-enter the pool and wait for another draw. Start gathering documents as soon as your profile enters the pool.

Tie-Breaking Rules

When the number of candidates at the cutoff score exceeds the number of ITAs available, IRCC uses a tie-breaking rule: the candidate who submitted their profile earliest receives the ITA. This means that for candidates hovering at the cutoff, submitting your profile as early as possible can make a critical difference. Calculate your score now with our CRS Score Calculator and enter the pool as soon as you're eligible.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How often does IRCC hold Express Entry draws?+
IRCC typically holds Express Entry draws approximately every two weeks, though the frequency can vary. Some draws are for all programs, others are category-specific (French language, STEM, healthcare, etc.). IRCC does not announce draws in advance.
  • Where can I find official Express Entry draw results?+
Official draw results are published on the IRCC website at canada.ca. Our draw results page provides a curated summary of recent draws for quick reference. The IRCC website has the authoritative and complete draw history.
  • What is the difference between a CEC draw and an all-program draw?+
A Canadian Experience Class (CEC) specific draw only invites candidates who are eligible for the CEC program. An all-program (No Program Specified) draw invites candidates eligible for any Express Entry program. CEC draws typically have slightly different cutoffs than all-program draws.
  • What documents do I need ready for when I receive an ITA?+
Prepare in advance: valid passport, language test results (less than 2 years old), Educational Credential Assessment, police certificates from each country lived in for 6+ months, medical exam (done by IRCC-approved physician), employment reference letters, and proof of funds if required.
  • Can I receive multiple ITAs?+
No. Once you accept an ITA, your Express Entry profile is no longer in the pool. If you decline or let an ITA expire, you may re-enter the pool with a new profile. However, declining an ITA without a genuine reason is generally not advisable as it delays your immigration timeline.
