The Alberta CRS score calculator uses the official IRCC Comprehensive Ranking System criteria to estimate your points across four sections: Core Human Capital (age, education, language), Skill Transferability, Canadian work experience, and Additional Points.
Alberta's AAIP then uses its own internal score (out of 100) to rank and invite Express Entry candidates. The minimum AAIP score required varies by stream — typically 58–63 for Tech, 54–61 for Priority Sectors, and a base federal CRS of 300 for the general Alberta Express Entry stream.
If you receive an AAIP provincial nomination, IRCC automatically adds +600 federal CRS points to your profile — virtually guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR.
| AAIP Score | Stream | Typical Eligibility |
|---|---|---|
| 58–63+ | Accelerated Tech Pathway | Strong — recent draws at 58–63 |
| 54–61+ | Priority Sectors (Construction, Healthcare, Agriculture) | Strong in priority occupations |
| 52–59+ | Dedicated Healthcare Pathway | Healthcare professionals only |
| 50–55+ | Rural Renewal Stream | Settling in rural Alberta communities |
| 300+ (federal CRS) | General Alberta Express Entry | Base minimum for AAIP consideration |
